This is the first that I've heard that 20mg/day is standard. The manufacturer's website still says 10mg/day is the standard dose...
> As if EVERYBODY on Lexapro will have their most effective response at 20 mg, not 15 or 25 or 30 or WHATEVER.
I'm sure different folks require different amounts. My pdoc had one person at 40mg/day, and that was the edge of his comfort level.
> My doc (being the pharmaceutical marketing sheep like most of them are) sure enough prescribed it at that 'magical' 20 mg/day dose.
I differ with your opinion that most pdocs are sheep. I'm sure _some_ are, but disagree with your assessment of _most_...
> Anybody else need MORE than 20 mg/day???
I'm considering ramping up from 10mg to 15 or 20, but am uncertain as to how I can justify it - other than curiosity. My initial reaction to the 10mg was OK, but now I'm feeling some of the depression coming back. I'm in week 6 or 7 and think I need to ride it out a bit further before I ask for an increase.
