Hi Ann.

How long have you been taking Effexor for? Have you recently increased dosage?

What you are describing can very definitely be the result of Effexor. I experienced something similar when I first started taking it. It pretty much disappeared within a month. However, I think I remember some people complain that this "brain fog" had persisted with them. Individuals react differently to any one medication. I wouldn't know what to recommend to you other than continuing to work with your doctor and make decisions as you go. It might disappear. It might not. There are a bunch of other drugs to choose from.
