I am 29 years old and was still afraid to tell my parents. But when I told my dad he shocked me by telling me that he had been suffering from the same thing for years and was currently on medication for depression and anxiety! I'm not suggesting that your dad will say the same thing, I'm only suggesting that he may suprise you. I agree with Katia that printing out your posts from here would be a great way to begin to talk about your illness. Did you call the hotline number that Lynne got for you?
