I know the title of this posts sounds bold and risks misunderstanding. Please forgive me if my jest is over the top.BUT --After reading of the trouble that many users of this site have run into with psychiatrist who are leery of patients who know ANYTHING about psychiatric medications or illnesses, what do you propose?
What is the next phase and shouldn’t we move on to it?
May be you could give us some guidance.
Or perhaps you could have a number of symposiums on "New Forms of Doctor /Patient Interaction" you know get the pdocs up to speed? It really would help.
Or somehow let pdocs across the country know that YOU (through this wonderful site, thank you) are our educator.
That you have created a "NEW BREED" of Psychiatric patient who is sophisticated, educated, plugged in and ready to try the next newly patented answer to our modern woes!
by the way...can you give me a day ;)before you redirect?
The tone of my letter is in jest but the problem is real and Id like to hear some replies.Im personally discouraged with my pdoc options and like some others here am beginning to feel there the only recourse is self-medicating.
