Stan, thanks for sharing your experience, I really appreciate your kindness.
I just saw Caleb's post, and I am quite upset at my PCP and myself right now. First, I was stupid not to ask her if it was an opiate, she knew I detoxed off Vicodin in Jan 2002, and had a problem with Vicodin, then she gave me another opiate without even telling me OR even talking about an alternative???!!!! I'm sorry but I feel she should have told me, maybe it's my fault. Oh well. I guess I'm not as smart as I thought I was when it comes to what is an opiate and what isn't.
I HONESTLY had no idea that Ultracet was an opiate, and I am going to do a search because I have felt warm, dizzy, and nauseas beyond comprehension this evening. I thought maybe I was getting a 'head cold'.
I am taking your advice, thank you! I am also destroying the samples she gave me AND the Rx she wrote out. I can't believe this! No wonder I am sick as a dog. Yes, I am very sensitive, and I'm steering clear of that stuff, I have to, I want to!! I can't feel this way and function-no way!
My lower lumbar region is really messed up from a car accident, that's what it was prescribed for, to take the place of Flexeril. I took Vicodin when I was having severe migraines a while back and it got out of control and I detoxed. I just posted about how I miss Vicodin, but Vicodin did not do this to me. I got that 'high' from Vicodin, and it didn't make me sick at all, except that I let it get out of control and abused it.
Thanks so much again for your response.
Take care.
