I can sympathize wuth your feelings of outrage and violation. I can't offer any advice except that you NEED to get some sleep, or you'll have to worry about your own health as well as that of your family and friend. (I hope also that you don't get banned for this although you'll get at least a 'PBC.' Threre seem to be some extenuating circumstances here.)
