I started Klonopin at 1 mg/day and was sleepy, clumsy, and forgetful for a week or two. But my panic attacks and anxiety subsided immediately, and the side effects went away very quickly. I've stayed at this dose for two years, and it continues to work for anxiety with no detectable side effects.
Of course, that's just me -- everyone reacts differently.
