In reply to Re: SKIPPING MEDS-A LITTLE SCARED........PLS HELP, posted by bookgurl99 on July 8, 2003, at 23:41:01

I totally agree with bookgurl - probably the effexor. when i was taking it, i had terrible withdrawal effects if i missed a dose, which was easy to do, as my mind wasn't functioning very clearly at the time ('course, it's not functioning very clearly now either, and i'm not on effexor).

I also agree about the pill boxes. I HAVE to put my pills in a pill box - I only take morning and evening meds, so I have two (different colored) pill boxes that I put my weeks worth of pills in every sunday. It's the ONLY way I can remember to take them, or remember IF I've taken them. I leave the boxes somewhere where I will see them - my nighttime meds are on my bedside table. The daytime meds are downstairs where I have breakfast.

I also had to put a note on my computer monitor that says "did you take your medicine today?" because I would sometimes forget, and I carry a dose of my morning meds with me to work everyday.

Just a few thoughts.
