Someone said that they won't really be helpful since it could lead to more problems with oversleeping and lack of motivation. Is this true?

I think that lamotrigine (Lamictal) is in stage III trials for an FDA bipolar depression indication. It looks like that may be my last resort (if I don't use Wellbutrin+Effexor for it as I have previously). My pdoc is a little scared of it I think. I'm willing to give it a trial. There are protocols for titration to help eliminate unnecessary rashes.
