Ok... I have to make a decision

Posted by Caleb462 on May 2, 2003, at 3:13:15

Last visit... my doctor wanted me to up my Effexor to 225 mg a day. I said ok... but quickly changed my mind after I left. The reason for the dosage up is that Effexor has pooped out... it probably won't poop back in after a dose increase, that rarely seems to happen. But it's not just that... I don't want to get the "SSRI effect"... the flattening, you guys know. Besides, SSRIs/SNRIs have never been fully effective for me.

So I want to try one of these:

A) Nardil
B) Parnate
C) Anafranil

My diagnosis is as follows:
GAD
OCD
SP
ADD
Depression

Right now.. what I need relief from the most is depression. But I want all these other things fixed as well - particularly the OCD, it has been with me for a long time. So... what do you guys suggest?

For a bit I was leaning towards Parnate because of it's stimulating properties, which I thought would help with my total lack of motivation, organization, attention span, energy, etc. But now I don't know.
