Listen to what we are saying,
Heroin, the actual chemical itself causes no
dammage to the brain or body.But, using the drug may cause phyiscal
dammage in that the *effects* of the drug
can cause users to be oblivious to their
bodies needs.In other words, if a heroin user was to have
a personal caretaker, who fed them at proper
intervals, and bathed them, and made sure
they used clean needles, and made sure they
excercised regularly, and made sure they had
a proper diet, and sleep patterns etc, etc,
etc... Then you would have a user that would
sustain no dammage to their body as a result
of the *chemical itself*.
But you are right in that, no user will have
this privilage, and most go through a horrible
degenerative process as a result of the way
the drug makes a person behave.But the *chemical itself* (the actual molecules)
are not physically dammaging the brain.
