Personally, I don't think so. Of course, you know YMMV, etc. But knowing the actions and mechanisms of both drugs, I would think the Zyprexa (and maybe even at a bit higher dose) would work better for BPII. At least that is what I experienced when I have taken both.

There is some research indicating effectiveness in combining a mood stabilizer with the atypicals, so you could give it a shot. If I where choosing a mood stabilizer in BPII, I'd go with Depakote, and noticed that I didn't need quite the same high levels even normally prescribed. (It only added to side effects.)

Just my take..and you know YMMV, etc. Hope that is some help.
