I was on Celexa and gained over 20 pounds - my doctor switched me to Lexapro because of my weight gain complaint. I am trying to lose weight and seriously have no idea how the medication affects my weight gain at all. Since I have been on the Lexapro, I stopped weighing myself regularly but I am sure I have stayed the same weight - no gain but no loss despite exercise and diet changes. How do I know if I am just exercising off the weight gain that I would be getting from the medication? I have no idea. I am also reading all the posts under this question for more input from others on weight gain issues with Lexapro. I need to lose 20-30 pounds and I am not able to.
