My doctor just started me on .25 mg of Risperdal. I'm also taking 40 mg of Celexa. I have depression, anxiety, and obsessions. I originally thought it was weird to be put on an "antipsychotic" for these problems, but then I read an research study suggesting that it's a very different drug at low doses and recommending that it get a second classification. I've been on it for 4 or 5 days, and it already seems to have helped with general anxiety, but it's a little less clear whether it has helped with OCD. Anyone else in this boat? Is .25 mg enough? How long until it reaches full effect? Is this dosage low enough that I don't have to worry much about TD and/or weight gain? The only side effect I've noticed is night sweats. Anyone else noticed that? Will it go away. Any other comments? Thanks
