I beg to differ- Effexor totally screws over a lot of people. Their ad strategy changed a few years ago after the boards and chatrooms were full of people hating it. Apparently it's the right stuff for a narrow group of people but it was so totally intoxicating for a lot of patients they were completely dysfunctional. I was on it- couldn't cross the street by myself. Notice how Zyprexa has gone underground since the lawsuits started? Celexa is a sucky AD and is probably having similar problems- the hellish withdrawal sounds likely. The American Consumer wouldn't like that at all.
Paxil and Zoloft are perceived as relatively innocuous, fashion accessories, and OB-GYNs and GPs hand it out like candy along with Prozac. Remember, drug companies serve the stockholder, not the sick.
