Pdoc who doesn't care

Posted by d miller on July 24, 2002, at 13:21:19

Thanks for your input, I also feel the same way about risperdal. So I'm not going to take it.

I think my pdoc has given up on me because she suggested that I see another pdoc for another opinion. She says that maybe they will see something that she doesn't see. I never really did like or feel very comfortable with her anyways.

I do take xanax but have such a hard time taking it in the day as it puts me to sleep. Even 1/4 of .5mg makes me so sleepy. At night I'll take the whole .5mg and sleep pretty well.

Clonazpam makes me feel the same way. Has anyone felt this way?

The other question is if a person has not felt much relieve on 130mg of effexor will upping it make a difference? Or should'nt there be some relief already. I have been on the effexor sense March and like I said I have slowly had to up it because of med sentivity. I would say that it has worked about 20 to 30%.

I had asked my pdoc about changing to another AD. I have in the past been on Zoloft which worked a little, Wellbutrin and lithumin, and then effexor which worked the best for 4 years. In January I tried Celexa and in March was put back on effexor. She said since I have tried so many of the ssri and they did not work the other will not work for me eithor. This upset me so much I started crying in her office because she made me feel so hopeless.

I suffer from severe anxiety and depression with obsessional thinking.

Whats your opinion on all that? D. Miller
