Wellbutrin in NOT virtually identical with Buspar - far from it. A very uninformed doctor, this man sounds to be. Another person on this board has made an excellent reference site with a listing of pyschotropic medications that you might want to refer to & mention the difference to your doctor.

Wellbutrin is known as amfebutamone or bupropion, & Buspar is buspirone.
