I thought Dep. was inducing depression at one point and stopped it as well. That ended up being a mistake for me - i went into a suicidal state after stopping. My pdoc asked me to try it at a higher dose but i was very skeptical.
Long and short of it for me is, at a higher dose depakote works for me. the depression is actually more of an anhedonia, a flatness for me which we're trying to work on with a stimulant. i cannot take ad's b/c they make me manic.
i have no idea if you could be similar. i am bp.
