I have read that antidepressants do prevent neuronal death, but I don't have the references on hand. Don't forget, sometimes it is hard to distinguish between medication side-effects and our conditions. What I really would like is a solid, straight answer on how antidepressants regulate cortisone levels. I have read a number of contradictory things on this topic.
