Bekka:
A past post of mine in PSB explained the moniker. It comes from an Ani Difranco song called, "'tis of thee."
"i ran away with the circus
cuz there's still some honest work left for bearded ladies
but it's not the same going town to town
since they put everyone in jail
except the cleavers and the bradys."It's really just a metaphor for freak or for a person who's different and can't (or doesn't want to!) hide it.
If you thought facial hair was really my problem, then I thank you sincerely for your advice. (I didn't know that about facial hair and depression, so thanks also for the info.)
If you knew already that I didn't have a beard and you were just being funny, then good for you. You got me!
(But there really is hair on my legs. I promise!)
beardy : )>
