If you both get on well ...(i know there isn't much time at each appointment)believe me they want you to get well and off their hands to reduce waiting list..so what I usually do is wait to see if med is working or not then take some research(not too much) and suggest moving on to new med.
This kind of relationship can only work if you get on well...after a short while
I don't know if your private..but I guess the same applies.
Or I suppose if you're REALLY sure the med is not helping I suppose you could exaggerate the side effects....
Good luck hope this helps somewhat...I'm afraid in uk it does take a long time.
