Gosh, sounds like you have covered all the bases! Your doctor really sounds rather cavalier, though!
Have you tried Viagra? It seems to have some side effects (my husband has slight headaches and some "fuzziness" in his thinking) but maybe it would help if you can tolerate the medication if you can tolerate the side effects (which only some folks seem to get) and you have no medical contraindications for taking Viagra.

JannbeauI have had a check-up and the doctor says that I should not complain, because I CAN get an erection, but it is not as hard and does not last as long as it used to before I started taking Effexor in Sept 1996 (I stopped around Dec 1997). I have been given a clean bill of health by doctors, which leads me to the conclusion that Effexor has indeed had something to do with my permanent dysfunction.
