The SSRI's are antiobsessional, but also they make the frontal lobes work less. That means the higher the Celexa, the worse the ADHD symptoms, but the better the OCD symptoms. And also, I have seen that Buspar will take away the OCD benefits of the SSRI's. I rasied it to 30 mg., and as you said, I was more obsesive and compulsive, and felt very aggerssive and irritable. Do you know why? The dopamine effects of Buspar? Also Mitch, why do you think the benzo's help out my OCD dramatically in combo with the Celexa? I feel the best and least obsessive when I take a Celexa and Xanax together.

Also, it has an "anti-serotonin" effect that will remove some of the compulsivity control the SSRI accomplishes. It might be possible to lower *both* the Celexa and Buspar and just keep the Xanax as part of your regimen.

Mitch,

Thanks for the advice. I am not touching the Buspar, but I was thinking of raising the Celexa to 30 mg. I think, as you said, the Buspar is combatting the anti-compulsion activity of the Celexa. I have found that the Xaxax makes me feel wonderful, because primarily, I don't have the flashes of obsessions that come and go at all. If I do have an odd compulsion, or obsession, from time to time, the anxiety caused by it is eliminated. In other words, the feeling of "Why do I continue to do this?" is not there. I'll have to watch when I raise the Celexa, because it will likely worsen my ADHD a bit also. Thanks again.

Frankie.
