Lamotrigine works on serotonin as an Antidepressant for unipolars, alleviating anxiety and depression, according to these and other studies:
Southam E, Kirkby D, Higgins GA, Hagan RM. Lamotrigine inhibits monoamine uptake in vitro and modulates 5-hydroxytryptamine uptake in rats.
