I meant that you should take Klonopin on a regular schedule, once in the morning and once at bedtime, each & every day.

If you take it on an as needed basis, say only when you have anxiety or insomnia, a patient is more likely to be abuse or increase the dose because klonopin often takes two hours to work and it can be subtle (I can't tell when its working & when its not, much of the time).

Many people have gotten hooked on Xanax by taking it on an "as needed basis".
