According to the PDR the starting dose of Serzone is 200 mg/day split into two doses, on in the morning & one at night, since serzone has a short half life. So I would take 100 mg when you wake up in the morning, and 100 mg at night (doses should be about 12 hours apart). Keep in mind that it is going to take a few weeks to work. I would talk to your doctor about discontinuing the desipramine, because the serzone might calm the increased heart rate/restlessness. Serzone is fairly sedating.
Stay away from caffeine altogether- I found that went I cut out all caffeine from my diet, most of my anxiety & insomnia dissapeared after a week.- The first few days of quitting caffeine are rough, but just drink lots of water & milk to get through it. Also, don't drink alcohol as it will counteract your meds & make you depressed again.

> I have a bottle of 200mg tablets. Im thinking of discontinuing the desipramine and breaking the 200mg tablet and taking 100mg at night with remeron , for a week, then upping it to 200 or spit 100am 100pm
