I have taken 5-htp before, three 100 mg tablets a day if I remember right. I think it gave me energy, and I think a couple days after starting to take me I almost got a minor "high"... could be coincidence though because I do go through up times....
About the paralysis... I didn't have this in connection with 5-htp, but I have had it. Whe I was about 19, I had it quite a lot, and it scared me.
