You should NEVER stop taking medication without the advice of your doctor. Effexor if not an evil drug as it as helped many many people *myself included). It does have harsh side affects if stopped cold turkey. You shouuld taper off it slowly, over a number of weeks. there is also some reports that some prozac taken in the last stage of coming off will help.
You must see you doctor and go off this drug under his care.
