remeron in kids

Does anyone have experience with this drug in kids? My 8 yr old son with anxiety and insomnia was started on it to regulate his sleep.It helped him go to sleep but he is sleepy and irritable during the day.The DR wanted to increase his dose to decrease these symptoms but I was not sure.all comments welcome.
