Hi Jodi.

Thanks for responding to my question.

I am upset to read that you consider your case hopeless. I hope you find Psycho-Babble helpful. There are quite a few people here who are in situations similar to yours. It is likely that you will find treatment alternatives that have not yet been considered for your case. For any treatment not yet tried lies hope. I need to convince myself of that from time to time.

If this weren't so serious, your last sentence would make for good humor. :-)

> anyway...the couple of days that i did take it though i felt better...

This sounds interesting.

This is significant.

If you do, I will be anxious to know how you do with it. I have Gabitril on my list of things to try. By the way, what are you being treated for? I am being treated for depression associated with bipolar disorder.

> the only other anticonvulsant i can really tolerate is neurontin. that helps with my anxiety and sleep. topimax makes me nearly retarded mentally and lamictal gave me a rash and made me agitated...

Have you tried taking Zyprexa? I have had some success with it when adding it to antidepressants. It might be worth trying even without antidepressants. It would probably help with anxiety and sleep, and may even ease the depression. You might want to consider going back and using any drugs that were partially effective in combination.

> hope this helps...

It has. I am hopeful that the brief mild improvement you experienced while you were taking Gabitril was in part because of it.

> good luck...jodi

You too...Scott
