The Idea of Effexor Being Addictive Refuted

Once your mood is stabilized on Effexor, your brain doesn't need more and more of the medication to produce the same euthymic effect. Rather, one can stay on the same dosage (after initial titration) for as long as the depressive episode lasts. Of course, the depression itself can remit, causing a patient to need more of the medication, but this is a natural and everyday occurrence seen by clinicians.
