Re: Neurontin as a mood stabilizer

In reply to Neurontin as a mood stabilizer, posted by Chaston on March 12, 2001, at 10:47:29

Hi! I'm currently adding Neurontin to my "mix" to see how it works. I had used it last year with just Celexa and had not noticed much effect, but it now "seems" to be helping quite a bit. I am taking the following:

Celexa: 40mg
Topamax (another mood stabilizer): 50 mg
Neurontin: 1800 mg (600 mg, 3x a day)

I am BPII. The topamax is what really seemed to work for me but I could not tolerate it above 75 mg because of the sedation. For some reason, Neurontin does not have the affect on me.

Hope this helps.

Good luck.
