Anita,

Ketanserin (Italian generic name ketanserina) is available from Farmacia Cerati, brand name Sufrexal (manuf. Janssen Cilag SpA). 30 tablets, each containing 40 mg of the tartrate, cost Euro 23.26 (about $20) plus shipping. Its most common clinical use is for hypertension.

Do you have any information about the dosage that is being used in clinical trials as an antidepressant? I ran a quick Medline search, couldn't find anything, but could easily have somehow missed the crucial paper.

TIA,

Jonathan.

> Ritanserin isn't available anywhere as far as I know (I've looked), but ketanserin, very much the same, is available from an overseas pharmacy in India. If you're really interested, I'll find the web site. I think, tho, that the manufacturer has stopped making it, so you might not be able to use it long-term. I do know that both ritanserin and ketanserin were in clinical trials and they proved ineffective for schizophrenia, but I think they're in trials for depression now.
