Nardil is prescribed more than Parnate because Nardil has less of a chance of causing insomnia.
I don't know which one poops-out more, but I had Parnate poop-out on me. It regained efficacy when I added 1200 mg of Lithium to it, but in two weeks it stopped working again. I think it would have been a good idea to go on to Nardil, but I insisted on moving to Remeron instead.
Pindolol does work, though. I take 20 mg per day in divided doses, and it works for me as an antidepressant on its own.
