To answer your question, yes, it was my idea to add Mirapex to my drug treatment. My Doctor was not 100% happy about it, and truthfully I cannot understand why considering I feel so much better.
He was against Risperdal as well.
I do not like him very much but he is the only shrink intown who is accepting new patients, so what do you do?I have an excellent Psychiatrist but he is in France ( I lived there for many years before moving to the US) and I call him for advice and suggestions. He has been very supportive.
I think French Doctors are a lot more flexible-- just my opinion.Yes, I may try zyprexa down the road or the newer version. Weight gain on Zyprexa is too anxiety- producing for me. I am a recovering anorexic/ bulimic which explains my fear of meds. that will produce weight gain.
