Your tiredness could be either because of poor
sleep (caused by Effexor) or because it makes
you otherwise tired. Effexor can also affect your
REM sleep without you being conscious about it.
All SSRI's can potentially do this. I think people
often ignore this possibility when they are tired
due to an SSRI.

For the poor sleep, I'd suggest Remeron 7.5-15mg
in the evening 1-2 hours before bedtime. Serzone
is another option, amitriptyline yet another one.

If your tiredness is not because of poor sleep,
then i don't really know what would most
probably help. Stimulants could be worth trying,
as well as switching to or augmenting with
bupropion or reboxetine (just guesses).

Ask your doctor first, however. I haven't checked
the metabolics, but I know that at least
Effexor and Remeron fit together (been there).
Effexor and
reboxetine is more problematic althought not
too bad.
