Update. I was trying doxepin along with elavil to get away from the cravings of elavil but did not work as I got even more cravings with this combo! I switched to trimipramine (25 mg) and elavil (60 mg) but found this combo not working also (excessive flushing, sweating - felt like menopause but I'm not ready for that yet, thank you!!).
My doctor wrote a prescription for Ludiomil starting at 10 mg. once daily, increasing to 3 times daily over a period of weeks. This would also be taken along with 60 or 70 mg. elavil to help me sleep and later, hopefully decrease the elavil so the food cravings lessen.
Any words of wisdom or caution?
