As I understand it, and have researched this drug alot - It is very effective in doses 450mg and above. I am gradually trying to increase the dose to 600mg. It is a drug that works well - but you have to be patient with it. Best of luck.

I, too, have taken Aurorix in Australia - the best of the ADs I have taken to date. Nil side effects (SSRIs intolerable for me) and started to feel quite "happy" after about a month on just 300 mg. No hassles with diet restrictions either. Had to go off it unfortunately as Dr went out of town and no scripts - will start on it again.
However, this is in addition to taking Doxepin at night for sleep and GAD (over the years and effective for me as well)+ xanax by day (low dose) for panics/agoraphobia. All in all, I found that while I was on the Aurorex, I could finish the pack, no sweat - something I could definitely not do with the SSRIs, Effexors, etc.
