My question is whether exercise and diet can counter the side effect, or is it a "done deal" no matter how hard you work out?

eabct,

You might want to scroll back through previous posts to find out what others have said (though I'm sure you'll get some response here, too). I was recently prescribed a low dose of remeron as an adjunct to my celexa.

I decided against taking remeron after reading several posts from people who've reported that they have gained weight, sometimes a substantial amount. Interestingly, I've also read that weight gain decreases as dosage increases. Counterinuitive, definately, but that's what they're saying.

Good luck
