Trying out tramadol to fight fever?!

I am someone who is allergic to Panadol,
Tylenol and Aspirin. I am also allergic
to anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDS) and sulphur.

Thus, when it comes to fighting fevers, I am
down to cold baths, sponging and drinking lots
of water.

Recently, a doctor prescribed tramadol for my
fever, and it seemed to work. Thus far, my readings on Tramadol have not suggested that
it is suitable for treatment of fever.

Can any medical professional give insight
on the use of Tramadol for fever?

Thanks,
Dennis.
