Prozac seems to induce a plethora of initiation side-effects. I had an incredible pounding heart, a burning in the back of my skull, increased panic-attacks, massive adrenalin surges, sea-sickness was a biggy, as was closing my eyes while standing immobile and trying not to smack the floor with my face.
I'll give you the recommendation I received from the babble-land babblers, which is as follows:
Sprinkle your Prozac capsule into water or juice and after mixing vigorously, drink 1/4, or a 1/2, or whatever you feel comfortable with. Personally, I put my entire day's dosage into a long glass of juice, and sipped on it throughout the day for the second or third week, as I toughed out the first one :-) My p-doc initiated my prozac dose at 20 mgs, a little large in my opinion.
