I am currently taking Topamax for Migraine,
after experianceing a really horrible episode
with Depakote, they say it was just a histalogical
reaction but it felt more like nearly dying to
me...so now it says NO DEPAKOTE on my chart,the Topamax seems to be doing really good, but I
seem to have picked up this same bout 20 pound
weight gain in the last year or two after successfully fighting off a chronic depression
with anti depressants...which is sorta what brings
me to this board...my general practicioner currently thinks I have a gastric ulcer caused by
heliobacter so am taking Prilosec and Biaxin, but
am doing my own research too...Has anyone out there had any experiance with Topamax or any of these other drugs being misdiagnosed as a gastric ulcer? I dont think that
this is really the problem cause I had this kind of pain before taking the topamax but NEVER this
severe....
