Adam, you reminded me of a funny Groening cartoon, in which two adults are peering through a window into a locked cell, inside which a group of youngsters are sitting in a circle, all straightjacketed and muzzled. One adult says to the other something along the lines of..."seems like we are really making excellent progress here."
Anyway, I hope I am not firing the radical anti-psychiatry fires that are lurking about these days, by recalling this anecdote. It's just that remembering it makes me giggle.
