I've been on a 6mg dose daily (2mgsx3) for close to 3 years. It was prescribed for panic disorder and worked beautifully. I think it may have some stabilizing effect on my bipolar disorder, I'm convinced w/o it I'd probably move in with the ultrarapid cycling crowd. As a former abuser of opiates (like one of the other posters), I have never abused this drug, mainly because it doesn't make me high. It just does it's job. I hope it works well for DH? Take care. P.S. I've had several pdocs recently who tried to tell me it was worsening my depression, but they don't know me well. Personally having uncontrolled panic attacks was pretty debilitating.
