> While Lithium is known for causing tremors, Celexa can definitely cause both tremors and spasms, although they tend to become minimal after the first week or two. I don't know whether they last with Lithium. If you recently started the combo, you may have an additive effect going. Was the Lithium added to potentiate the Celexa, or are you taking it for bipolar or some other disorder?

Rick- I was taking Effexor. I was not seeing an
improvement with the Effexor and was experiencing
some troubling side effects. My doc added the Lithium
to augment the Effexor. It was only a
a few days later that I stopped the Effexor
and began the Celexa.

So, the Lithium is to augment, and both meds were
begun at nearly the same time. The tremors did not
begin right away, they appeared about 2 weeks
into this combination. There has been no increase
of dosage of either med.

Thanks
