Hello Thomas,
I experienced a horrible adverse reaction from a drug called amoxapine. My nervous system was completely "short circuited", leaving me with a host of problems. Although I had no muscle pain, I certainly had and still have muscle weakness and fatigue, mostly in my legs. A very "rubbery" feeling in my legs that made it difficult climbing stairs for a long time.
I also ended up at neurologist. Everything came back negative. Unfortunately I've had to become my own doctor/researcher and try to figure out what exactly happened to me because the doctors don't seem to have a clue. They have found abnormalties in some of the tests, but can't confirm anything leaving me more confused than before.
If I were you and neurologist tests came back ok, I would see a good endocronologist, make sure thyroid was ok. These meds can definitely affect HPA axis, cortisol function, and thyroid. But so can extreme stress/depression.
I hope this helps, and best of luck to you Thomas. Keep us posted.Anthony
