isolation as treatment: any experiences?

Posted by putih on February 19, 2000, at 5:38:19

Before I started the thread marihuana and antideprreant,
now my boyfried has been in forced hospitalisation, that is not the worsed part (may good?), but they have put himin isolation now, already for 3 days and i'm not allowed to see him and get hardly and info.
I wonder if this is good for him, alone, anxious and not allowed to see the person he trusts and loves? Is that helpfullfor him? What does isolation do to a persons mind? Does it realy help to quit down, the noise in ones head? Before he was taken away I spend 3 hours with him, he was quite and so happy I was with him, then a doctor came in and some other guys and he freaked out. How would a healthy person feel in such situation?
Has anyone any experiences? How can I get through to these people, they just bully me with "these are the rule" and "you don't need to know the details". "He needs rest and no stimulus of the outside world".
I hope someone can tell me this is good for him, or shall I fight to get him out?
