But yes, it is an atypical antipsychotic. It is a presynaptic antagonist at low doses at the D2/D3 receptors, increasing dopamine transmission. It is effective at low doses for negative symptoms with fewer side effects than other antipsychotics, and effective at higher doses for positive symptoms. It's a shame the USA doesn't have this one.
