A Philosophical kazoo Glares At Stupidity

Posted by kazoo on April 21, 2002, at 3:41:17

There are many things in this life that I don't understand, and I make no bones about confessing to this fact; however, what this statement has to do with the rest of this posting is equally bewildering, so you may ignore this entire sentence right now.

On April 20, the lead singer of some idiotic rock group in Seattle, WA was found dead in his apartment. Since this guy had a nasty heroin habit, the cops are assuming that his death was the result of said addiction.

(Actually, the Seattle police said this (equally as stupid): "It was natural or an overdose--that's the way it was determined by our investigators." Now I ask you: what's the opposite of "natural death"? "Un-natural death" or "Death by Overdose"?)

In an interview with "Rolling Stone" some time back, this individual said that he was "scared of death," the complete quote of which follows:

"I'm gonna be here for a long time. I'm scared of death, especially death by my own hand. I'm scared of where I would go. Not that I ever consider that, because I don't."

Now check out the logic: he's scared of death because he doesn't know where he's going to go, but never considers that, or considered that, so my question is: why was this individual ever scared of death to begin with?

The reasoning behind this baloney slips me (for the moment).

Is this the fried brains of a junkie revealing his opiated ID?

Such a waste.
