That's one of the problems with electronic communication -- it's really easy not to get your message across ... I was just teasing.
After the small turnout, I began to suspect exactly the sorts of things you mentioned. A friend of mine has this theory that "middle" children grow up to be cruise directors, and as the middle child of the youngest cluster of three in my family, I tend to get carried away with the cruise director syndrome.
So, let me say instead to you, CD, and anyone else who shied away that I am sorry you couldn't make it, for whatever reason. Like I said, there's always the chance to have another face-to-face in the future in people are interested -- it's nice to be able to meet the people behind the posts, and there is so much more we can share meeting f2f than through this medium.
